PURPOSE:To eliminate uncomfortable sounds at a detuning time to prevent the erroneous display, by controlling turn-on and off of a multipath distortion reducing deavice by a signal, which is obtained by detecting tuning of a receiving frequency by a tuning point detecting device, in the FM radio receiver. CONSTITUTION:A signal inputted from an antenna 1 is amplified by a front end 2 and is subjected to frequency conversion and is branchea into two through a filter 3, and one is supplied to a detector 5 through a limiter 4, and the other is supplied to an AGC circuit 7 and an AM detector 8 and is outputted to a meter 7 through a switch 106. Outputs of the filter 3 and the detector 5 are detected by level detectors 16 and 17 to obatain a tuning point detection signal from an AND circuit 18, and switches 103 and 106 are turned on by this tuning output to apply the signal to the meter 7; and the power of a power source 105 is supplied through a switch 104 to a motor 102 which changes the direction of the antenna 101, and the antenna 101 is rotated and is set to the direction of less DU ratio. At the detuning time when the tuning point is not detected, inputs of the motor 102 and the meter 107 are cut off.
