Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the cloudiness caused by the denaturation of the gelatin, by exposing a recording medium of bichromateted gelatin to light and then irradiating the ultraviolet rays from the rear side of the above-mentioned exposed surface to harden the bichromateted gelatin at the area touching close a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The bichromateted gelatin containing bichromate like ammonium bichromate, potassium bichromate, etc. is coated on a transparent substrate of glass, polyester, etc. with 15-20mum thickness as a photosensitive material by a known process. In such way, a recording medium 1 is obtained. A hologram is formed by the difference of refractive index between an exposed part and an unexposed part. A subject beam 4 and a reference beam 3 are irradiated to the medium 1 from the rear side of the medium and then the ultraviolet rays are irradiated with 200mw/cm<2> luminous intensity of the light source and for 2-5min from the side of the transparent substrate of the medium 1. Then the medium 1 is dipped into a film hardening liquid like a 5% chromium alum aqueous solution, glyoxal, etc. for 30sec-2min to receive a film hardening process. After this, the medium 1 is washed by the water to remove Cr and then rinsed by isopropyl alcohol.
