Abstract

PURPOSE: To regenerate a thermogenerative type ion exchange resin with a simple operation at a low cost indirectly heating a resin in a slurry state with water after it is transferred to an indirect heater.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoregenerative type ion exchange resin saturated with a salt is transferred to an indirect heater 12 in a slurry with water and a heat medium in any form of solid, liquid or gas is fed to heat the slurry indirectly. This enables the desorption of the salt from the ion exchange resin to regenerate. Any of waste thermal water and waste gas can be used for the heat medium thereby reducing the initial and running cost of the equipment.
