Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform ink injecting characteristics by providing a highly elastic sound wave absorbing member between a part becoming a vibrating nod when an ultrasonic vibrator of an ink jet head is vibrated and a nozzle array, thereby preventing the mutual interference of a pressure wave. CONSTITUTION:When a drive signal is applied to an ultrasonic vibrator 21, the vibrator 21 vibrates. A vibrating plate 20 vibrates in response to the vibration of the vibrator 21, and loop parts A and nod parts B are produced corresponding to the vibration wavelength. A sound wave absorbing member 23 made of a macromolecular material having high elasticity is provided between the nod parts B and a nozzle plate 19, thereby preventing the mutual interference of the pressure wave produced from the loop parts A of the vibration. The member 23 is not necessarily provided to completely divide a liquid chamber 11.
