Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. consisting of two types of propylene polymers with different intrinsic viscosities which has excellent moldability and is free from fish eye trouble.
CONSTITUTION: Two types of crystalline propylene homopolymers or copolymers with 10wt% or less other α-olefins are blended in 40W70:60W30 by wt. so that the ratio of intrinsic viscosities between the two polymers may exceed 1.5 and the compsn. may have an intrinsic viscosity of 1W2dl/g. The two polymers have intrinsic viscosities of 0.6W1.7dl/g and 1.5W4.5dl/g, respectively, and both have an isotactic index of 80% or higher.
EFFECT: The compsn. has a low melt viscosity at a high shear rate and can be injection molded at low temp. and pressure.
