Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve or regenerate the activity of a metallic oxide catalyst contg. tellurium through simple operation by heating said catalyst together with solids contg. tellurium in a gaseous atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: A metallic oxide catalyst cong. tellurium used for oxidation of hydrocarbons, oxidation dehydrogenation reaction, etc. and tellurium-contg. solids such as tellurium simple substance, tellurium oxide or the like are heated in a gaseous atmosphere of nitrogen, oxygen, etc. up to 900°C. Then, the decrease in the secular change of the activity of this metallc oxide contg. tellurium or the selectivity of the deteriorated catalyst is improved and therefore this is used for improving and regenerting of the catalyst activity.
