Abstract

PURPOSE:to facilitate reassembly while maintaining proper insulation of the windings in transit by retaining them sealed with an insulating structure member in transit wile it is incorporated into the core therewith in the assembly. CONSTITUTION:The winding unit 13 which comprises a low voltage winding 21 and a high voltage winding 22 is wrapped with an insulating member 23 and additionally, sealed air and oil tight with an insulating structure member 24 made up of a cylindrical, central insulating members 25a and 25b and insulating caps 26a and 26b. This insulating structure member made of an insulating material with a great mechanical strength and excellent dielectric strength. The winding unit 13 housed in the insulating structure member 24 is transported to the site from the factory and incorporated into the core to assemble a transformer. Besides, the insulating cap 26a can be provided with an inlet/outlet 27 of an insulating cooling medium and filled with a Furon liquid etc.
