Abstract
PURPOSE:Not only to prevent generation of clogging of a wire rod and a flaw on the surface, but also to increase a speed of the wire rod, by installing a wire rod guide between a rolling final roll and a winding machine, providing a spiral groove along the inside surface, and guiding jetted high pressure water. CONSTITUTION:The inside diameter of a wire rod guide 4 consisting of a cylindrical metallic pipe is prescribed to such a diameter as causes no flaw on the surface of a wire rod 3. Subsequently, a spiral groove 5 is provided along the inside circumference of the wire rod guide 4. Also, a jet hole 6 communmicating to the start end of the groove 5 is provided, and an angle alpha assumed between the jet hole 6 and the surface where it meets at right angles with the wire rod guide 4 is equalized with an angle alpha assumed between the groove 5 and the surface where it meet at right angles with the wire rod guide 4.
