Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled solid prepd. by mixing a crushed waste vegetable with a vegetable binder followed by compression molding into a desired shape.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture obtd. by compounding 70W90wt% crushed product obtd. by crushing a waste vegetable such as rice hull, straw, corn cane or pod to about 30W80 mesh, 30W5wt% vegetable binder such as wheat gluten bread, defatted rice bran or blackstrap molasses, and an adequate amount of an aerobic microorganism such as yeast or lactic bacterium, is molded into a pellet, oval briquest, oblong sheet, etc. by use of a screw-extrusion pelletizer or apron converyor-type compression molder. The obtd. solid is usable as a well digestible feed of high nutritive value, a fuel of calorific value about 3,600W3,800K calorie/ kg or a fertilizer quickly exerting the effect as a compost.
