Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove a toner from a fur brush quickly and easily to clean a recording medium by providing the titled devide with a charge removing means to remove or reduce the charge from the fur brush of a rubbed and charged brush roller. CONSTITUTION:A brush roller 3 of a cleaning device 2 is provided with a fur brush 5 and removes remaining toners from the surface of a recording medium 1 after transfer. The removed toner over the fur brush 5 is removed by a flicker 8 and discharged from a discharging passage 13. To make the toner remove from the fur brush 5 easily, a corona dischager 14 is opposed to the brush roller 3. The corona discharger 14 is composed of a discharging line 15 and a shielding case 16 and removes or reduces the charge of the fur brush 5. Any electric power source, DC or AC, may be used as an electric power source 17.
