Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the toner sufficiently with simple mechanism by charging the surface of a photoreceptor to positive with a corona charger then removing the toner remained on the photoreceptor with a fur brush. CONSTITUTION:A revolving shaft 8 is disposed between a transfer paper separating device 6 and a destaticizer 7, and a cylindrical member 11 is fixed to the peripheral surface of the shaft 8. A fur brush 12 is fixed to the peripheral surface thereof by means of a conductive adhesive. Further, corona charger 15 is disposed between the transfer position of a photoreceptor and the position where the brush 12 contact. Positive charge is applied to the photoreceptor 1 by this corona charger 15 to charge the photoreceptor 1 to prescribed positive potential, after which with the adhesive material on the surface part of the member 11 held grounded, the brush 12 is abutted upon the photoreceptor, whereby the toner remained on the photoreceptor 1 is removed. Thence, the effect of cleaning is improved.
