Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute 0 point and span testing at proper times and on the spot by feeding a gaseous carrier selectively to a porous tube installed to a vessel in which standard liquid for test is filled. CONSTITUTION:In the state of measuring volatile components in liquid, a gaseous carrier is fed to a porous tube 5 which is immersed in measuring liquid 8 and has liquid repellency and continuous micropores by a gaseous carrier controlling part 1, and said carrier gas is conducted into a component measuring part 4, whereby components are measured. On the other hand, in the stage of testing, gas flow passage selecting parts 2, 3 are charged over to conduct the gaseous carrier to a porous tube 6 installed in a vessel 10 for test in which liquid 11 of a known concn. is filled and the temp. and pressure thereof are so controlled as to attain the same conditions as those of the liquid 8. The gaseous carrier passed through the tube 6 is conducted to the part 4, whereby the sensitivity of the entire part of the measuring device is tested. Thereby, the accurate 0 point and span testing is accomplished easily and instantaneously.
