Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the device easier in assembling and campacting by connecting a group of optical fibers to a reflective film having different transmission wavelengths of the surface of a substrate distributed with refractive indexes in the derection of thickness and by preparing optical fibers forming a mixing optical path on the side of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A refractive index of a transparent substrate 1 is formed such that the refractive index decreases from the surface 1A toward the rear surface 1B reverse proportional to square of thickness. Mixed light with wavelengths lambda1, lambda2 and lambda3 transmitted from optical fibers in an optical wave mixing optical path 3 enters a focusing type light transmitter lens 2, forms parallel beams to enter the substrate 1 and indident to a filter 21 obliquely, allowing only light with a wavelength lambda1 to be transmitted and to be focused to an optical fiber 31 with a lens 2. Reflected light reaches to filters 22 and 23 successively, thereby allowing light with wavelengths lambda2 and lambda3 to be focused to optical fibers 32 and 33. In contrast with this, when light having wavelengths lambda1-lambda3 are transmitted from the optical fibers 31-33, it is transmitted to a light wave mixing path 3. Through the process, the device is made easy in assembling and compacting.
