Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure a bottom-peak width in high precision by connecting in a closed loop a comparator, a pulse generator that generates a constant charge pulse of both polarities of the positive and the negative and an integrator without using a D/A convertor. CONSTITUTION:Only when an input signal to be measured Vi drops if a bottom detection interval signal is applied to a gate 16, a positive charge pulse +P is applied to an integrator 11 by a comparator 12. Then, only when the input signal Vi increases if a peak detection interval signal is applied to the gate 7, a negative pulse -P is applied to the integrator 11. And, when the peak detection interval terminates, an SW2 turns on to clear the integrator 11, and in succession, an SW3 turns on and the netative pulses used in the peak detection interval are sent to the integrator 11 in number as much as counted by a pulse counter 18 and integrated. This final integral value is transferred to a hold circuit 19, and the bottom-peak width of the input signal Vi is outputted.
