Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure accurately each period by latching and resetting the results of counting of two counters that count 1 or 0 period of a pulse to be measured according to a combination of the other counter output. CONSTITUTION:A counter CN1 counts the clock pulse CK during the period of ''1'' when a measured signal is in, and a counter CN2 counts the clock pulse CK during the period of ''0'' when a pulse signal is in. Latch circuits LA1 and LA2 hold temporarily the results of counting by a combination of outputs of terminal groups 2<o>-2<n> of respective other counters CN1 and CN2, and after this the counters CN1 and CN2 are reset by a combination of the groups of terminals. As a result, indicating devices 4 and 5 show the periods ''1'' and ''0'' of measured pulses, and further an indicating device 7 shows that duty ratio is 50/50 and an indicating device 9 shows the cycle of the measured pulse.
