Abstract

PURPOSE:To form an arbitrary A/D converter peripheral circuit by arranging random logic circuit gate unit cells and analog-to-digital converter cells on a semiconductor LSI chip, and forming metal wires by a master slice system. CONSTITUTION:A master-slice LSI chip 1 is formed of array 2 of random logic circuit gate unit cells and analog-to-digital conveter cell 3, the gate unit cells of the random logic circuit 2 are connected mutually via metal wires, and are connected to a sequence controller 4, a shift register 5, a sequential comparison register 6, a D/A converter 7 in the cell 3 via metal wires, thereby forming the logic circuits and forming arbitrary A/D converter peripheral circuit and interface circuit.
