Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the current detection of a high voltage device through components for low voltage circuits, by detecting an actual value of complicated waveform AC currents through the adoption of an electrooptic signal converter or the like and insulating the high and low voltage sections. CONSTITUTION:An output signal of a shunting device 12 has a waveform of an AC power supply 10. This is amplified and an electrooptic signal converter 16 is driven. The obtained optical signal is transmitted to the low voltage side with a light guide 17 and converted into an electric signal at a photoelectric signal converter 18, and the waveforms at the positive and negative periods are synthesized and the actual value of the AC current is obtained. The power supply for an amplifier 15 energizing the photoelectric signal converter is supplied from a rectifying circuit 14.
