Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the characteristic of a temperature sensing unit and improve warm up performance of an engine, in a carburetor where a wax temperature sensing unit, controlling openings of a choke valve and throttle valve, and a cooling water passage of the engine, heating said sensing unit, are provided, by providing a removing means of residual air in the cooling water passage. CONSTITUTION:A choke valve 2 and throttle valve 16 are set in a intake passage of a carburetor main unit 1, and the upper end of a rod 6 is stopped to a choke lever 4 while the lower end of said rod is stopped to the rotary shaft of a first idle cam 7, then an adjusting screw 19, mounted to a throttle valve lever 18, is contacted to the surface of said cam. While a housing 13 is mounted above said cam 7, and a wax temperature sensing unit 10 is equipped in its cooling water passages 11, 12, then a lower end of said unit 10 is contacted to the end surface of said cam 7 through a piston 8. Here a short pipe is connected to an upper surface of the housing 13, equipped with a valve 15 and constituted with air in cooling water of an engine 20 releaseable by opening the valve 15, and the desired end can be attained.
