Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the controlling of both a starting time intake air increment and an idling air intake amount with only one auxiliary air passageway by constructing a valve which is driven by a thermo-wax pellet and a valve, which operates responding to a negative pressure, in a coaxial structure.
CONSTITUTION: A first valve body 28 controls a starting time air intake amount increment by opening/closing an auxiliary air passageway 10 while contacting/leaving a valve seat 17. A thermo-wax pellet 15 gets heated by an electric heating unit 14 to drive, when elongated, a valve body 28, which is constructed in a mono- body structure with a housing 31, in a valve closing direction. A second valve body 30 controls an idle air intake amount while its greater diameter tapered surface at its tip contacting/leaving the tip opening portion of the first valve body 28. The second valve body 30 is fixed to a diaphragm 33 and is driven by a negative pressure which is introduced into a negative pressure room 32B by the means of a negative pressure control unit 37.
