Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of fuel vapor by raising fuel pressure while fuel temperature is at a specified value or more, and also to improve restartability and idle stability so as to prevent remarkable fluctuation of an air-fuel ratio by raising the variation factor of correction quantity in an air-fuel ratio feedback control system. CONSTITUTION:The values detected by an O2 sensor as well as engine speed, intake air quantity, cooling water temperature and intake air temperature are input in a control unit 7 to operate and control the valve opening time of an injector 4. A pressure regulator 5 for adjusting the fuel pressure to the injector 4 contains a piston 59 pushed up by the expansion of a thermowax 58, and when fuel temperature is raised, a return passage 9 is closed so that the fuel pressure to the injector 4 may be raised. On the other hand, it the cooling water temperature and intake air temperature are at the specified levels or more, the control unit 7 enhances the control constant of an air-fuel ratio feedback control system twice and performs correction for fuel pressure rising for a specified time after start.
