Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an air-fuel ratio from being made lean due to fuel vapor produced after the start-up at a high temperature by setting initial fuel quantity increase value according to the engine temperature after start-up at the high temperature and then performing air-fuel ratio control with fuel quantity increase value after start-up which reduces at a specified rate and air-fuel ratio feedback correction value. CONSTITUTION:The values detected by a throttle valve opening sensor 4, intake air absolute pressure sensor 8, intake air temperature sensor 9, cooling water temperature sensor 10, engine speed sensor 11, O2 sensor 15, starter switch 15 and so on are input in an electronic control unit 5 to perform operation control for the opening time of a fuel injection valve 6. The electronic control unit 5 sets an initial fuel quantity increase value becoming larger as the temperature of cooling water lowers in cranking and reduces the initial fuel quantity increase value at a small subtraction constant when the intake air temperature is 70 deg.C or more, for example, when cranking is finished. As a result, when an internal combustion engine 1 restarts at a high temperature, the initial fuel quantity increase value is subjected to gradual subtraction, thus preventing the air fuel ratio from being made leans due to fuel vapor together with air-fuel ratio return correction.
