Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent excessively rich air-fuel-mixture in running by electrically controlling the amount of air bleed during a detected transient period to acceleration of an internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: When a movable piston 2 sliding into an intake pipe 21 in the direction at right angle with it moves up and down on pressure of intake pipe negative pressure, a needle 3 attached at the end of the piston 2 follows the movement to come in and out of an orifice 11. A carburetor supplying the specified amount fuel into the inake pipe 21 includes a pressure sensor 17 which senses a pressure in a mixing chamber 16 between the piston 2 and throttle valve 1 at the back of the piston and sends the signal to a control circuit 13. The circuit 13 controls a solenoid 20 to open or close, which is supplied in an air bleed passage 12 communicating the orifice 11 with atmosphere. The control circuit 13 can receive a signal from an oxygen consistency sensor 15 mounted on an exhaust pipe 14.
