Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent cast iron from sticking to a steel conductive terminal in a titled seaming method, by seaming the steel conductive terminal which has formed a coating film consisting of graphite powder and liquid oil, on the outside surface, and a burnt carbon anode, by means of cast iron casting. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of graphite powder and liquid oil, which has been prepared in advance is applied on the outside surface of said steel conductive terminal. Otherwise, liquid oil is applied on the outside surface of the steel conductive terminal, and after that, graphite powder is made to adhere onto said oil. Subsequently, the steel conductive terminal on which graphite powder and liquid oil have been applied by said method, and a burnt carbon anode are seamed by means of cast iron casting. As for said graphite powder, artificial graphite, natural graphite, etc. are used, and as for said graphite, it is desirable to crush each of them to particle size of <=100 meshes. On the other hand, as for the liquid oil, various kinds of mineral oil and vegetable oil which are a liquid at room temperature can be used, but mineral oil is suitable for practical use, and kerosene, light oil, heavy oil A, heavy oil B, etc. are used.
