PURPOSE: To increase the lubricity to the hard chromium plated core and prevent seizure of steel plate and core, by defining the quantity of chtomium on the copper plated surface to a specified quantity, when producing two-ply tube with copper plated steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of Cu-plated steel plate is treated with chromate, and is continuously press-formed into a two-ply tube form by means of a mill roller for forming, and, after passing through a furnace of high temperature atmosphere, a two-ply tube is produced by fusing the two-ply part by using Cu as the medium. At this time of press-forming, the hard Cu-plated core is inserted into the tube, which is likely to cause seizure of the core and tube interior. To prevent this, the quantity of Cr on the surface layer of the Cu plated steel plate is kept 0.1 or under by the intensity ratio of Cr detection with respect to Cu analyzed by a microanalyzer. The Cu plated steel plate has an excellent lubricity to the core, so that seizure phenomenon at the time of pipe forming may be reduced greatly.
