Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ozone deodorizing device having high performance and energy economization by passing gases contg. malodorous components successively through a wet type ozone oxidation washing tower and an adsorptive decomposition tower.
CONSTITUTION: Gases contg. O3 are aerated in the form fine bubbles into washing liquid 4 through an ozonizer 7 then through an air diffusion pipe 13. The gases contg. O3 are flowed in the form of fine bubbles upward from the bottom of a washing tower 1 through the liquid 4. During this time, the malodorous components absorbed in the liquid 4 are oxidized and decomposed, and the greater part of the excess O3 is dissoled in the liquid 4. The liquid 4 dissolved with the O3 is sprayed from the upper part of a packed bed 2 by a pump 3 to wash the air to be treated, whereby the malodorous components contained therein are oxidized and decomposed. The air to be treated carrying the excess O3 past the tower 1 is blasted 15 into an adsorptive decomposition tower 9, where it is brought into contact with an HBr stuck bed 14, whereby it is deodroized. Thereafter, it is further adsorbed away of the remaining O3 and Br2 in an active carbon bed 10. The treated air after reduction of O3 to O2 and adsorption away of the malodorous components is released into the atmosphere.
