Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the brushing resistance of an electrophotographic plate by using a cross-linked polymer obtd. by reacting a specified copolymer with a triazine compound as the binder of the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A cross-linked polymer is obtd. by reacting 100pts.wt. copolymer (A) cont. 9-(vinylphenyl)anthracene structural units represented by formulaI (where X is H or Br) and acrylic structural units represented by formula II (where R1 is H or methyl, and R2 is a group of formula III (R3 is H or <=4C alkyl) or a group of formula IV (R4 is H, <=4C alkyl, 1,2-epoxypropyl or the like) in about 1:(2-100) molar ratio with 0.1-500pts.wt. triazine compound (B) represented by formula V (where each of R5, R6 and R7 is H, alkyl, phenyl, hydroxyl or (substituted)amino). A photosensitive layer consisting of 100pts.wt. said cross-linked polymer (binder), 10-60pts.wt. charge transferring substance and 0.1-5pts.wt. charge generating substance is formed on an electrically conductive support to manufacture an electrophotographic plate.
