Abstract

PURPOSE:To generate an intense electric power by reciprocating a sea anchor by tides and transmitting via ropes the power produced by the inertia to a power plant for power generation. CONSTITUTION:A sea anchor 1 is floated under the sea and maintained by ropes 2 which are stretched back and forth in parallel with a tidal direction 19. The ropes 2 which fasten the sea anchor extend to an end of a power generation plant 5 via pulleys 4 linked to anchors 3 which are fixed to the sea bottom 21. The sea anchor 1 is reciprocated by tides and the regultant power is transmitted via the ropes 2 to a power plant for power generation, therefore generating an intense electric power.
