Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the conversion efficiency of energy, by a method wherein a one-way clutch transmission mechanism is situated between a floating body vertically moved by means of a wave power and a generator, and vertical movement of the floating body is converted into rotational movement through the transmission mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A wave power generating device is used for, for example, the power source of a radio buoy 1, and comprises a generating chamber 2 having a generator 10, a guide rod 3 suspended downward from the generating chamber 2, and a floating body 4, supported by the guide rod 3 and vertically moved by means of a wave power on a sea surface. In this constitution, a one-way clutch transmission mechanism 12 is situated between the generator 10 and the floating body 4. By conversion of vertical movement of the floating body 4 into rotational movement through the transmission mechanism 12, the generator 10 is rotated for drive. In this case, the transmission mechanism 12 is formed with a pair each of belts 15 and 16 and connecting arms 22 and 23, and a one- way clutch, not shown.
