Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent misfiring due to an overlean state, by cutting off slow line fuel and maintaining air-fuel ratio almost to the logical air-fuel ratio with main line fuel in a range of operation specified from not lower than prescribed speed and not more than prescribed intake negative pressure of an engine. CONSTITUTION:At transient time when a fuel route in a carburetor 1 is switched from a slow feed to main feed, speed of an engine is at least a preset value while negative pressure of a negative pressure port 15 becomes not more than a preset value, and a signal current from an OR circuit in a control circuit 19 is controlled to open a switching element 19c, then a solenoid valve 17 is turned off to close slow feed fuel by a valve element 18. In this way, slow line negative pressure is not effected to the main line, then fuel in a float chamber 2 becomes easy to flow out from a main nozzle 13, and air-fuel ratio of a mixture is not so changed even at switching time, to become almost the logical air-fuel ratio. Accordingly, misfiring, deriving from an overlean state, and a change of engine torque, caused by the misfiring, are not caused.
