Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the decrease of the output and the fluctuation of the torque of the engine during restraining of knocking by a method wherein an ignition timing delaying circuit, operated by a delay angle signal from a knocking senser, and a fuel supply amount increasing means, operated by an opening degree signal generated simultaneously with the knocking, are provided in the spark ignition type internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The ignition timing delaying circuit 14, connected with a contact breaker 11 for a distributor 7 and the primary side of an ignition coil 8, is provided in the internal-combustion engine 1 and the ignition timing of the distributor 7 is delayed by a proper angle based on a signal from a control circuit 15. The fuel supply amount increasing means 19, consisting of a bypass passage 20 and a flow control valve 21, is provided in a carburettor 4 at a fuel passage 18 equipped with a main jet 17 communicating with a main nozzle, a slow port, an idle port and the like from a float chamber 16. When the knocking occurred, a signal from the knocking senser 13 is inputted, the delay angle signal is outputted to the ignition timing delaying circuit 14 and the ignition timing is delayed by the angle while the fuel supply amount is increased by opening the flow control valve 21 in the increasing means 19 and thereby restraining the knocking of the engine.
