Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect against a fluctuation in engine combustion, by a method wherein an air-fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine is feedback-controlled, and simultaneously, an ignition time is caused to change in synchronism with a control fluctuation of the air-fuel ratio.
CONSTITUTION: Signals, which are sent from an air flow meter 28 located at a suction pipe 16, an O2 sensor 14 placed at an exhaust pipe 12, a revolution number sensor 38 positioned at an engine, are inputted to an EFI computer 20, and fuel from a fuel injection valve 18 mounted at the suction pipe 16 is determined according to the output from the computer 20. A changing-over switch 26 controlled by the computer 20 is positined between a distributor 22 and an ignition coil 27, and switches a negative pressure fed to a lead angle and a delay angle chamber of the distributor 22.
