Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermally shrinkable tube capable of taking a desired shrinkable state by mere concentrated heating of part of its circumference by a method wherein an air introducing tube is arranged eccentially in a mold tube and the material tube is expanded and molded until it touches the internal wall of the mold tube. CONSTITUTION:A blank tube 9 is put on an air intorducing tube 2 when one of screw rods 4 is removed. Both ends of the tube are clamped and sealed by bands 10 or the like. Next, the screw rod is set, rotated suitably with the other screw rod 5 and arranged eccentrically in a molding tube 1. Next, the material tube 9 is heated together with the molding tube 1 until the tube is softened suitably. When the material tube is heated and softened suitably, compressed air is taken into an air introducing tube 2 and further sent into the material tube 9 via through holes 3 and the material tube 9 is expanded until it touches the internal wll of the molding tube 1.
