Abstract

PURPOSE: To mold a blank tube in a specified diameter by solidifying it by cooling with gradual expansion of a vortex-shaped plate spring while it is heated above the softening point of the material.
CONSTITUTION: A blank tube 2 made up of a polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polyester and the like is fitted onto the circumference of a vortex-shaped plate spring 1 reduced to a small diameter. The vortex-shaped plate spring 1 is gradually expanded being turned with a jig 3 in the unwinding direction of the spring in such a manner that the tube 2 is expanded in the diametrical direction thereof and solidified by cooling after reaching a specified diameter.
