Abstract

PURPOSE:To degas the liquid in a container made of a synthetic resin safely and perfectly by a method wherein the liquid is introduced into the container made of a synthetic resin and this container is subjected to vacuum treatment in a hermetically sealed degassing container. CONSTITUTION:A tubular container 1 made of an ethylene tetrafluoride resin is enclosed in a hermetically sealed degassing container 2 and, to the hermetically sealed container 2, a connecting part 3 comminucated with an evacuating apparatus is provided. A liquid to be degassed is flowed into the container 1 from an inlet 5 and degassed by evacuating the hermetically sealed container 2 and discharged from an outlet 5. In this case, if the inner diameter of the tubular container 1 is made slender, the wall thickness thereof is made thin and the length thereof is made sufficient, the above described degassing operation can be continuously carried out while the liquid to be degassed is passed through the tubular container 1. Because, the liquid to be degassed is not directly exposed to evacuated atmosphere, this method can be applied to a ignitable liquid and a low b.p. liquid safely.
