Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an extrudate with no bubbles contained therein or on the surface, by continuously introducing a kneaded body including a starting material into a vacuum cylinder for deaeration under vacuum. CONSTITUTION:The kneaded body including a prescribed starting material charged in a cylinder 8 is pressed by a piston 7 to be filled into a space 10 through slits 11. Then to a mouth piece 3 of the cylinder 2 is attached with a lid 13, the cylinder 2 is evacuated through an evacuation port 4 so that the inside of the cylinder 2 is made a vacuum state, and the piston 7 is gradually advanced, so that while air or other gaseous bubbles in th mixed body are removed through slits 12 having a diameter at least less than the thickness of the most thin section of the desired extrudate, the kneaded body is charged into the cylinder via an opening 5. Then the kneaded body is pressed toward the mouth piece 3 by advancing the piston 1, thereafter the lid 13 is removed, and the piston 1 is further advancted so that the kneaded body is extruded from the mouth piece 3 to be molded.
