Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a long-life optical recording medium by forming a recording material layer on one surface of a transparent substrate, sticking two substrates opposite to the recording material layer by a specific solventless adhesive with a spacer between, and preventing the production and entry of harmful gas in and to airtight space. CONSTITUTION:On one-side surfaces of transparent substrates 1 and 1', optical recording material layers 2 and 2' are formed, and on the external circumference 6 and internal circumference 7 of the layer 2 of the substrate 1, solventless adhesives 8 and 8' of epoxy resin mixed with a setting agent and defoamed are dropped to be applied to 50-500mum thickness, thus forming resin films 9 and 9'. Then, spacers 3 and 3' are arranged on the layers 9 and 9', and said adhesives 8 and 8' are dropped to form adhesive films 10 and 10' on the spacers 3 and 3'. The substrate 1' is set by being heated under some pressure with the layers 2 and 2' opposed, thus obtaining an optical recording medium which has airtight space 4. The adhesive 8 prevents the generation and external entry of a solvent, harmful gas, etc., so that the recording medium is stable and has long life.
