CONSTITUTION:A character attribute dictionary 6 converts reading of a character to a numerical code and stores it, in accordance with a Hangul character, a Chinese character and an alphanumeric character, and also stores a numerical code which has distinguished a usual consonant and a double consonent. Also, a numerical code generating part 2 is provided in order to generate a numerical code corresponding to each word of the word string by referring to the dictionary 6 or a sorting character attribute loading module 7 regarding each character contained in said word. Also, the code generated by a sort processing part 3 is arrayed in the ascending order or the descending order. In this case, the generating part 2 makes a numerical code of a double consonant coincide with a numerical code corresponding to a usual consonent, and converts it so as to indicate existence of the double consonant by providing a double consonant indicating part in the numerical code.
