PURPOSE:To quickly array a word in the form of corresponding to its reading, by referring to a dictionary which has converted reading of each character to a numerical code, converting a word to a numerical code, and arranging it in order, in a Korean language word string containing a Hangul character, a Chinese character and an alphanumeric character. CONSTITUTION:In a character attribute dictionary 6, as to a Hangul character, a Chinese character and an alphanumeric character, reading of its character and the number of strokes of the Chinese character are encoded and stored. Also, as to each character contained in accordance with each word of a word string, a numerical code generating part 2 is provided in order to generate a numerical value corresponding to its word by refrring to the dictionary 6 or a sorting character attribute loading module 7. In accordance with the numerical code generated by this generating part 2, each word in the word string is arrayed in the ascending or descending order of the code by a sort processing part 3. In this way, a corresponding word 1 is extracted from each numerical code of plural numerical code strings of a result of said array.
