Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the initial adhesiveness of paint films and to prevent crevice corrosion by subjecting a stainless steel plate which is worked after treatment with phosphate to a tannic acid and/or polyacrylic acid treatment then coating a prescribed amt. of chromating liquid in succession to this. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel plate subjected to a zinc phosphate or iron phosphate treatment is drawn with rolls. Next, the stainless steel plate drawn with rolls is treated with tannic acid and/or polyacrylic acid. Thence, this acid- treated stainless steel plate is coated with 2-60mg/m<2> coating type chromating liquid (in terms of quantity of chromium). In this way, the paint film applied thereon has excellent initial adhesiveness and prevents crevice corrosion perfectly.
