CONSTITUTION: An object 2 to be plated, a reference electrode 3 and a counter electrode 4 are immersed in an electroless plating bath, and pulses of constant quantity of electricity are generated from a pulse generator 1 to apply constant quantity of electric charge instantaneously to the object 2 via the counter electrode 4. At this time, the change in the potential of the object 2 is measured with the change in time of the polarization value η of the object 2. The overall mesurement of the reaction conditions in the electroless plating is made possible easily in a short time from the time t1 when the value η of the object 2 attains the prescribed value η1, the time t2 when it attains the prescribed value η2 and the difference Δt between the t2 and t1.
