Abstract
PURPOSE:To mold an abjective article securely and easily by a method wherein two sheet form molding materials are supplied to between split molds having a mold cavity, a negative pressure is applied to vacuum suction holes provided at parting surfaces and the cavity, followed by closing the mold. CONSTITUTION:Two parisons 7 and a blower 9 for heated compressed air are supplied into the space between the split molds 1 opened. Then, the split molds 1 are approached to the parison 7, and a negative pressure is applied at the holes 4, 5 through a passage hole 6, whereby the parison 7 is attracted to the parting surfaces 3 of the peripheral part of the split molds 1, resulting in that the mold cavity 2 is closed. After the cavity 2 is completely closed, the molding material is vacuum formed by being attracted to the cavity 2. Then, the mold 1 is closed, peripheral parts of the molded article are fusion-bonded as one body to produce a molded article having a hollow part.
