Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a bent article by a method wherein a mold is composed of upper split-mold parts, lower split-mold parts and main split-mold parts, where the main split-mold parts are mated to each other so as to form a cavity main part, therein and after downwardly inserting a parison into the cavity main part while applying a suction at a lower end of the cavity main part, the upper and lower split-mold parts are clamped and air is blown in. CONSTITUTION:The main split-mold parts 6, 6 are mated to each other with their mating surfaces 7, 7 directed vertically, thereby forming therein the cavity main part 8 having both upper and lower ends opened. Then, while extruding the parison 10 from an extrusion die 9 of an extruder for a synthetic resin, the parison is downwardly introduced into the cavity main part 8 via the upper open end and a suction is applied by fitting a suction pipe 11 of a suction device to the lower open end of the cavity main part 8. The parison 10 is thus inserted into the ?-shaped cavity main part 8 by the effect of the suction. When the lower end of the parison is protruded from the lower open end by an appropriate length, the suction is stopped, the upper split-mold parts 4, 4 and the lower split-mold parts 5, 5 are clamped respectively, and the parison is blow molded by blowing air into the inside of the parison through an air pin 12.
