Abstract
PURPOSE:To mold a hollow molded article having a large internal insert part therein by inserting a parison from one of an open mold and a insert part from the other, closing the mold and blow-molding the mold. CONSTITUTION:Right and left molds B divided into upper, intermediate and lower units B1, B2 and B3 are opened, and a cylindrical parison 1 extruded from an extruder A is inserted into the molds B. Then, an insert part 2 supported by the supporting arm C1 of an insert part inserting device C disposed oppositely to the extruder A is inserted into predetermined position in the parison 1. When the parison 1 reaches slightly lower portion from the lower end of the molds B at the end thereof, the parison 1 is stopped supplying. Then, the intermediate units B2 are closed to hold the parison 1 and the insert part 2, and the arm C1 is pulled from the molds B. Then, the upper and lower units B1 and B3 are closed to seal the end of the parison 1. Then, compressed air is fed into the parison 1 to cool the parison 1 along the molding surface b in the molds B.
