Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain safety as well as to improve its workability in such a way that when constructing a half submergible type working ship, the upper hull can be constructed by superposing it upon the lower hull in the dock, and it eliminates the need of loading at the high place of the upper hull. CONSTITUTION:In the dock 10, a left and right pair of lower hull 11 is constructed, and they are coupled by a temporary coupling member 12. An upper hull 13 is constructed by superposing it upon the lower hull 11 which has been constructed such as this, a plurality of shore penetrating holes 14 have been made in advance on the upper hull 13, shores 15 which are installed on the lower hull 11 are penetrated and protruded on said penetrating holes 14, and after completing the construction of the upper hull 13 and the shores 15, the both hulls are drawn out of the dock 10 in the conditon that the upper hull 13 is superposed on the lower hull 11, ballast water is injected to the lower hull 11, the lower hull 11 is sunk together with the shores 15 under sea level, the upper hull 13 is set afloat on the sea level, and the upper hull 13 is coupled at the upper end part of the shores 15.
