Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of operating processes on the sea for shortening the period of construction of a marine structure by a method in which a substructure and a superstructure of a floating structure with piers are separately manufactured, delivered to construction site on the sea, and then assembled there.
CONSTITUTION: The substructure 1 and superstructure 2 of a marine structure to be used in the explitation, etc., of a submarine oil well are separately manufactured on the land, where the superstructure 2 is designed to have a floating structure and the modules 3 for devices composing a plant are beforehand assembled. Plural piers 5 vertically movable by an elevator 4 are provided. The substructure 1 is delivered on a ship 7, the superstructure 2 is delivered by towing, the substructure 1 is first set on the sea bed b at site, and then the superstructure 2 is set on the substracture 1. Then, the piers 5 are lowered by an elevator 4, and their lower ends are fitted into a receiving seat 6 so as to combine both substructure and the superstructure 1 and 2 integrally.
