Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled supply device, by reducing or eliminating the space existing between an original setting tray and an original discharging tray. CONSTITUTION:When a reading operation is started, the 1st and 2nd original feed rollers 33 and 34 are turned. Thus the sheet originals 12 are carried out one by one through an area between the roll 34 and an original handling roll 35. The original 12 is detected at its tip by a photosensor after passing through a pair of conveying rollers 15. The detected original 12 passes between a guide glass 16 and an original guide plate 36 to perform the reading of the original. The original 12 with which the reading is through is sent to a contact part between a conveying roll 41 and an inverting roll 42 and then guided by a guide 44 according to the rotations of the roll 42 with the inversion of its travelling direction. After this, the original 12 is sent onto an original discharging tray 46 by a discharge pinch roll 43 which is set at the area near the exit of the guide 44.
