Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to discharge a paper with its curl corrected by providing a pair of discharging rollers for discharging a paper while warping the paper oppositely to the curvature of a feeding-out route in a paper feeding- out mechanism, and a paper guide having a guide surface curved oppositely to the curvature of the feeding-out route. CONSTITUTION:When a paper 10 is fed out in a direction B into a card holder 5, the paper 10 is wound around a platen 1, resulting in a curling in a direction C. When a printing operation is finished, the paper 10 is fed out in a direction A to discharging rollers 7, 8 under rotation of the platen 1 in a paper feeding- out mechanism 6 and guide by the card holder 5. Next, the paper 10 is curved back in a direction D opposite to the direction C by the direction of tangents to the discharging rollers 7, 8 at a contact part thereof and the curvature of a guide surface 13 of a paper guide 9. The curving-back quantity can be controlled by regulating the speed of the paper at the time of discharge according to the speed of the paper at the time of printing and the quantity of printing, whereby the curl generated in the paper when the paper is wound around the platen 1 can be corrected by the discharging rollers 7, 8 and the paper guide 9.
