Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase capacity density and to improve the flatness of discharging by a method wherein iron disulfide treated with heat within a certain temperature range in the atmosphere of an inert gas is used as an active substance for an organic solvent cell. CONSTITUTION:Facing anode 1 and a metal lithium disc as the cathode 2 are provided via a separator 3 impregnated with and carrying an electrolyte and the assembly is contained in a case 4. A cathode sealing plate 5 is put on the cathode via a gasket 6 and the edge of the aperture of the case 4 is inwardly folded to seal the aperture, so that an organic solvent cell is formed. The anode 1 uses iron disulfide as an organic substance, whereas the ion disulfide is obtained by adding to it heat treatment at 400-600 deg.C in the atmosphere of an inert gas.
