Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize an integral combustion engine, by arranging both balancer weights to a specific expression for the crank radius equivalent weight simultaneously setting the balancer weights to an opposite direction to the direction of cylinders, in the above described device balancing secondary inertia force of the internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The center of gravity of a balancer weight W1, rotated at double speed of a crankshaft 1 to the same direction as the crankshaft, and the other balancer weight W2, rotated at double speed of the crankshaft 1 reversely to the direction of the crankshaft, is located in a plane crossing at a right angle with the crankshaft 1 and on the center line EC of an internal combustion engine. The both of these balancer weights W1, W2, when assumed n for a number of cylinders, Wre for weight of reciprocating parts gamma for crank radius and L for length of a connecting rod, are arranged to (gamma.Wre.n)/2L for each crank radius equivalent weight, simultaneously the balancer weights W1, W2 are set to an opposite direction to the direction of a cylinder of the internal combustion engine from the crankshaft 1 when crank pins 1a of the crankshaft 1 are placed at a position of the top or bottom dead center.
