Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor type heatsensitive recording material capable of developing color in a different hue by laminating layer containing a leucodye and an acid material and a layer containing a diazo dye and a coupler on a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:A heatsensitive color developing layer normally comprising a colorless or light-colored leuco dye and an acid material such as boric acid for developing color in a thermal reaction therewith and another thermo sensitive color developing layer developing color in a different hue from said heatsensitive layer which comprises a diazo compound in the form of a non-water soluble salt, a coupler such as phenol and resolcinol and a mercapto compound as a stabilizing agent of the diazo compound and the like added as desired are laminated on a supporting body comprising a paper or a thermoplastic resin film. The leuco dye and the acid material develop color rapidly at a certain temperature thereby assuring a multicolor developed picture free from blur and color mixing even under the condition of a high speed recording.
